Apparently, it was former Hasht5 member Marlou Arizala’s dream to change his persona because he always gets bashed by the netizens due to his physical appearance. Seems like he dislikes being the laughing stock of the world – and of course, who would like that? – so he decided to undergo a cosmetic surgery and changed his stage name to Xander Ford. He said:
“Oo nga dito ako nakilala, pero may pangarap ako. Pangarap ko ‘yun nga, yung magbago ako. Kasi lahat naman ng tao nagbabago. Natatakot ako sa surgery pero kailangan. Gusto ko ipakita ko sa tao na yung dating Marlou na nilalait nila, kahit laitin nila ngayon, hindi na ‘yunyung ako.”
The doctor in charge for the surgery sponsored by The ICON Clinic is Eric-Vina Yapjuangco. Before Xander had undergone the operation, Star Image Artist Management uploaded a few photos of him in hospital gown and with markings on his face. Now, it seems like the operation was a success! There may be tons of photos circulating online claiming that it is him but he is actually just in the healing stage right now which is why all those speculations are false.
Xander uploaded a video of himself on his personal Facebook account showing his recovering face. He captures himself as someone was cleaning his wounds. It can also be seen that there are still fresh wounds on the celebrity’s face. He captioned the video with:
“Actual face ko ngayun. 3weeks bago tanggalin ang benda. 2months pa para sa healing ng muka ko. Kaya wag po kayo excited
