We all know that the Kapamilya stars Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano are exclusively dating. But what we probably don’t know is how the mother of the host-actor, Gov. Vilma Santos, thinks of her son’s girlfriend.
In a recent interview reported by ABS-CBN Push, the Lipa representative revealed that Jessy has been attending their family’s bi-weekly dinners. She even shared that she appreciates what the sexy actress has been doing for her son. She said:
“Well, the mere fact na dinadala ng anak ko, that’s respect. ‘I want you to meet my family…’ And that’s respect, so dinadala niya, so we met.”
The source asked if she holds Jessy in high regard than the past lovers of her son, Luis. She immediately replied:
“She’s very nice. No, no… hindi sa ganun. It’s just kung magugustuhan ng anak ko, then why not?”
Apparently, Jessy is not the only one who Luis has introduced to his mother. Seems like Angel Locsin, Jennylyn Mercado, and Nancy Castiglione have already met the veteran-actress-turned-politician as well. Vilma answered this matter orderly and said:
“Yeah, that’s true. Kasi I… but one lang I noticed with Jessy… Kasi puro artista lang yung nagiging girlfriend ng anak ko eh. But one thing I noticed with Jessy… hindi ko po nakikitaan na kinukumpetisyon si Lucky.”
Gov. Vilma shared how Jessy never acted like the ‘celebrity Jessy’ in their home. She stated:
“Siyempre, kahit naman ako, imbitahan mo, meron pa rin akong arteng Vilma, di ba, yung artista. Pero pag may dinner kami, wala, e, hindi nakikipag-compte, it’s just that: ‘I’m the girlfriend.’”
She also shared the real score behind the rumors that she is very eager to be a grandmother. It’s not exactly what happened, apparently, it’s just her way to ‘lambing’ her son. She narrated:
“Lambing lang yun kapag magdi-dinner kami. Ganito totoong istorya nun… ‘Dyusko, anak, 36 ka na,’ sabi ko. Ang baby naming, puro aso. Sabi ko, ‘Nak, baka ano… wala na tayong baby.”
“Sabi niya, ‘Mom, soon, soon, don’t worry. Mom, kung hindi pa ako, baka si Ryan can give you. Sumagot yung anak ko [Ryan], ‘Mom, if Kuya cannot give you baby, you want me to give you na?’ Yung ganun ba, usapang pamilya?” she continued.
