Just recently, an incident from the Philippines Movie Press Club (PMPC) awarding has been the talk of the town. It involves Alex Gonzaga asking her close friend, Luis Manzano, how much he had bought his ‘Darling of the Press’ award. Well, the female celebrity admitted to have moved on from the issue. Even Lucky himself defended his friend about the matter and told the world that it’s their way of showing affection.
Alex said that she decided to forget about the event since she really didn’t mean any harm. She also added that she had already apologized to the PMPC for making a scene. The actress stated that she might have just forgotten that she’s in an awards night because whenever she and her friend meet, they greet each other that way. Furthermore, she actually felt happy that the netizens did not make much of a big deal out of it as Luis also clarified and agreed to her previous statements.
However, her sister, Toni, who is also a renowned host, felt offended about her joke. To sum it all up, she revealed that Toni asked her to quit the entertainment industry because of what she did.
“Ang ate ko may point siya na mag-quit na daw ako sa showbiz. Ganun level. Kasi bakit daw ganun yung mga ano ko [sinasabi ko]. Pero sa akin naman, I’ll just charge it to experience na minsan be careful. Pero nangyari na talaga,” the Kapamilya actress narrated.
