Just recently, a video of a young boy went viral on social media. Carlo is a 6-year-old child who lives in Tondo, Manila. He made waves all over the net after a clip featuring him expressing his anger over his lost sister, Princess.
Carlo let the people witness that it’s possible to be courageous and determined to fight for children’s rights at such young age as he. He ranted that people should not hurt children after the incident wherein his sister left the house because their parents allegedly hit her.
Lots of people became amused of him that he was even invited to guest on the show “Little Big Shots Phillipines,” a variety TV show to show off the talents of kids all over the nation. It is hosted by Billy Crawford who later on interviewed Carlo Mendoza and his father, Edgardo Mendoza.
On the interview, he emphasized his views and opinions about child abuse once again.
“Kasi po bawal manakit ng bata, dapat po pagsabihan lang.”
Apparently, the child dreams of being a policeman. It is not the first time that he got angered over important things. As a matter of fact, his father told Billy that Carlo really values honesty. Here was one time wherein they were selling popcorn in a crowded area and the child noticed a mobile phone. He immediately surrendered it to his father and sought for the owner. As a reward, the cellphone owner bought him tokens of appreciation such as toys, clothes, and money.
