The teenage phase is known to be a prelude for a person’s adulthood which is why it is the time wherein young people reflect with themselves and start planning on how to fulfill their dreams in the near future. But there are unavoidable instances wherein the said phase is cut short. Why? It is because there are teenage girls who already have to allot their time to motherly duties.
We all know that being a mother alone is not an easy thing, but being one at a very young age gets its arduousness intensified. There are things that a teenage mom still wants to achieve and do yet she can’t easily do so due to the fact that she has to care for her child. Things like that include wanting to finish studying.
Recently, a netizen, who is a teenage mother, shared her debacles with her situation.
Shayn Mangilin stated that being a mother is not a joke. She also said that there are times wherein she could not give even the littlest attention to herself anymore because the baby has to have all the love and care. Still, she clarified that it’s alright as long as she can express her love for her family.
Sleepless nights and having arms that ache for carrying heavy things for a long time aren’t new to her. As a matter of fact, she experiences them all the time. She cannot leave the house often because she has to feed her baby. And when her baby throws tantrums, she forgets her concerns with herself like her thirst and hunger.
The teenage mother also shared how her figure has changed since she gave birth to her child. She specified having stretch marks and excess fat due to the happening. Nonetheless, she says it’s alright and it’s worth it since she and her baby have lots to experience together in the near future.
She expressed her feelings about people who judge teenage mothers like her. She said that these people don’t know what they are going through and that she really struggles to become the best mom for her baby.
Shayn said that being pregnant at a young age doesn’t mean she ruined her life. In the end, she advised people to be responsible for whatever they do.
