Just recently, people sought help from a shaman. He was asked to save a previous victim of crocodile attack whose body was left floating along the water. Shamans, also known as sorcerers or healers, are more known to tribal people. They serve as the ones to communicate with supernatural domains. These persons are assumed to have healing powers and different kinds of bizarre abilities.
There were several reptile attacks that were reported in the region which is why the shaman was called to help out. He was supposed to find the body of another victim named Ajurna; however, he is unsuccessful. Ironically, he died for the same reason as the victim died – a crocodile attack.
Suprianto, the shaman, thought that he has the ability to find the body of the deceased without being touched by a crocodile. He started speaking out his chants to counter-attack the said reptile if ever it tries to go against his way. Only a few moments later, he slowly swam as if searching for Ajurna’s body. But the most shocking thing happened – there was a sudden splash and the shaman is already deep down the waters.
The ones who witnessed the incident were not able to do anything but to wait and hope that he’d come up again. Apparently, he came up – though they forgot to pray that he should come up still breathing.
His body was found the next day along with Ajurna’s body. According to the reports,
“I think he was dragged by a croc under the water and then ran out of oxgen. From the pictures I’ve seen, his body is still intact, his arms and legs are still there. Arjuna’s corpse was also intact.”
