Just recently, a traffic enforces has been arrested due to an accusation that he raped an eight-month-old baby. What’s worse is that this baby is a boy! What a gruesome act, right? According to “Anita,” the boy’s mother, her son had rashes all over his body and a fever that lasted for a week. Hoping that she can prevent future mishaps if the child would not be diagnosed early, she took the child to a doctor.
What the doctor told her had really blown her mind! The doctor confirmed that the child does not have any serious disease, but he was sexually abused few days prior. The child was tested and results show some lacerations in his private part.
Anita, with sudden realizations, tried to remember what happened when she was cleaning her son. She said:
“Nung gabi na yun, may lumabas po sa pwet niya, maraming puti na pagpunas ko biglang sumulpot. Dun na ako nagtaka.”
The mother later on confessed that every time she has to go out to run some errands, she leaves her child with her husband’s friend to look over. The 28-year-old Bernardo Cabatu was also a traffic enforcer at their place. The man lives with them at their home in the city of Parañaque.
Then, Anita recalled that Cabatu’s behavior has been very strange lately and so, the truth dawned on her. She said that there was one time she discovered Cabatu under the sheets with her son, watching a pornographic video.
Cabatu was immediately taken into custody. Yet, he was continuously denying all the claims against him. Despite his denial, he was still charged with rape and child abuse.
