Maria Sofia Love was an internet sensation back in 2015. She was known for her “modeling para sa ekonomiya” and remarkable and funny taglines such as “Ituloy ang modeling! Pak!” She was really patok to the netizens due to her good sense of humor. However, a recent video made the people react maybe more than how they do on her previous videos but not in a good way.
A Facebook page entitled “Ang Galing Mo Pinoy” uploaded a clip just recently showcasing the “para sa ekonomiya” model. In the video, she was playing the Philippine National Anthem, Lupang Hinirang. Netizens were confused as to why she was playing the song; however, her twists made the people roar with anger.
She presented herself with a red onesie as she placed her hand to her crotch rather than her heart. Well, that’s not the worst thing that happened. As the clip continued, she started moving erratically, while spinning her hips. It was a highly inappropriate manner since we are all aware of the fact that the national anthem – whatever country it is of – should never, ever be disrespected.
Everyone did not seem to be happy with whatever she’s happily doing. Netizens reminded her that there is an existent House Bill, number 5224, which states that the National Anthem of the Philippines should not be played for fun or mere publicity. It was firmly stated that it should be sung with salute as the hands are placed in the left part of the chest.
She’d be facing the netizens’ raging hatred first and she will never escape the law. She’d be fined with a fine not less than P50,000 but not exceeding P100,000.
