The Department of Justice recently made the decision that TV host Vhong Navarro can already be acquitted from the rape charges that Deniece Cornejo filed against him. On the 24th of September 2017, the model-stylist posted an enigmatic message on her personal Facebook account.
According to a report by the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Cornejo uploaded a photo of herself inside a plane staring out the window. The photo is not at all controversial – what gained the netizens attention is her caption which says:
“Mom is right. It takes forever to fight but it will be worth it. Fight isn’t over. Stand still.”
Deniece’s controversial Facebook post is already deleted as of this writing after it garnered speculations and rumors from the netizens. Apparently, the people’s curiosity was lit which made them form their own theories. But most of the social media users predicted that it might be about the acquisition of Vhong Navarro.
It can be remembered that the model filed two consecutive cases of rape charges against the Kapamilya star way back in 2014. She claimed that she was molested by Navarro on the night of the 17th and 22nd of January 2014. That same night, the actor was cornered by a group of men led by Cedric Lee, Deniece’s alleged lover at that time.
Vhong Navarro was free from the charges after the DOJ reviewed that Cornejo’s chain of events had too many inconsistencies. They even stated that the actress “suffers from a very serious credibility issue.”
