Everyone knows Alex Gonzaga as an actress with a very “kalog” personality and maybe even careless. After all, she is the younger sibling of the extraordinary host, Tony Gonzaga, who is just like her, very talented in speaking out to the world. But sometimes, Alex might be tactless while thinking out loud, which costs the reputation of other people.
The star allegedly murmured something when Luis Manzano received the “Darling Of The Press” award last September 3,2017 in the 33rd Philippine Movie and Press Club (PPMC) held at Resorts World Manila.
Alex, all of a sudden, jokingly commented as Lucky received his award, “Magkano mo nabili ang award mo?”
Luis just rode along with her joke and replied “180” to the co-star’s question. After all, Lucky is also a funny man.
Turns out, the netizens noticed the snide remark of Alex and said that it was the most controversial statement in the Star Awards for Movies.
Lots of prominent people were nominated for the award won by Luis. The list includes Charlene Bautista, Kim Chiu, Regine Tolentino, Xian Lim, Piolo Pascual, KC Concepcion, and Kaye Dacer. Seems like the award was not only limited to actors and actresses considering that the people who are nominated have different occupations.
Netizens gave their views and opinions about the statement. One commented that the two involved stars are both jokesters and he claims to have watched the two exchanging joke flames on the set of Minute To Win It yet Alex’s statement was really of bad taste since not everyone knows that they’re good friends.
